FOR CREATORS

Help shape FIRECracker

I’m building FIRECracker to make UK retirement planning clearer, more useful and less intimidating.

I’m inviting a small number of personal-finance, retirement and later-life creators to try it and tell me what I’ve got right, and what I haven’t.

Why I’m reaching out

People who create good financial and retirement content spend a lot of time thinking about the questions ordinary people actually ask, and about how complicated subjects can be explained without losing the important detail.

That perspective is incredibly useful while FIRECracker is still evolving. I’d much rather find the confusing bits, weak assumptions and missing ideas now than after thousands of people are using it.

And if you currently use spreadsheets or calculators to demonstrate retirement scenarios, FIRECracker might turn out to be a useful tool for your own content too.

No strings attached

You don’t need to review FIRECracker, mention it publicly, link to it or say nice things about it. There’s no expectation that trying it has to lead to anything else. I’m simply interested in whether it might be useful to you and the kind of topics you already explore.

If you find FIRECracker genuinely useful

If it becomes something you’d like to use regularly in your content, I’m happy to arrange complimentary creator access so you can keep using it.

What is FIRECracker?

FIRECracker is a UK retirement planning and modelling app. It brings pensions, income, assets, liabilities and retirement assumptions together so people can explore what their future might look like, without turning retirement planning into a spreadsheet exercise.

It models possibilities rather than giving financial advice, with a focus on keeping useful financial detail understandable and explainable.
